4Q was 468 MM.

Guidance for q1 is 450-468.

So basically flat, which is normal for 4q to 1q.

Quickly accessible numbers seem to confirm this for last year.
For Q4 16: $328M
For Q1 17: $335M

In line with expectations. Some greedy bastards wanted more. Don’t need to show their hand so early in the game. IMO.

I had been considering adding a 4th “3rd” and am now quite tempted at the $260-ish level.

Did I read that right? 64% revenue growth year-over-year
?

I’m sure that the people who sold down 30 after hours feel pretty good now that the stock is down 50 and continuing to fall.

Seems to be holding fairly steadily at just above $259 for about the past 10 minutes.

But what will be even more interesting to see will be what the share price is in say 2021 or 2022.

People like you and Najdorf who only appear out of the woodwork full of doom and gloom always after the event…by the way, hows the NVDAShort going for you these days?

I couldn’t resist, and added to my already large position at $257-$260, down about $50 and about $16% from the close.

I added earlier both in January and February on smaller drops. Not now below either of those two buys that took both took place during past four weeks.

I finally got my 4th “3rd” of ANET at $263.50…had to pay a couple bucks per share more due to having to figure out my first after-hours trade.

I hope sentiment is same tomorrow morning at open. I don’t have AH trading in my account and will be adding as well.

Hi okapimoon, it’s nice to see you back on the board. I see you’ve made three posts this year. I really remember your excellent stock analyses back in 2014/2015.

“Did I read that right? 64% revenue growth year-over-year”

EPS is 64% growth
Rev is 43% growth

I like both numbers.

CGNX is down too on solid numbers.
I think the financial news services Seaking Alpha, Yahoo, etc all reported incorrectly for both companies at first that they had missed. I wonder if they have some sort of automated system that pulls numbers out of reports and then headlines them wrong. Then after hours action takes place (possibly also automated) generating more headlines and the cycle can continue.

Maybe I’m too conspiratorial and missing something in the report.

I am new to the board and investing, started following late last year. Thank you for the education. I was able to add to my position at $263.28.

I have found that Yahoo sometimes gets it wrong on the first publish. Don’t understand why, but I think it is machine generated as you suggested, the computer pulls out numbers and somehow compares apples to oranges or something. But I see it every so often that they report a miss, only to change it later.
At the current AH price I am only up 200 percent on my original investment in Anet, so boy do I feel bad. Lol

I could not resist either…picked up some shares in after-hours $259-$260. My first ever AH trade.

What a snoozer for me. Glad we had a great quarter. UBNT was down the same after ER pushing back towards its high after a few weeks.
I remember the good old days when APPL would sell off after lots of ERs. Thousands of % ago.
Anyways, I repeat. The people that sold on this report will not make any money in any market. I know because I used to be one of them.

Thank you so much, Saul. Appreciate the compliment. (And greeting.)

Trying to work myself back up to doing written analyses again! (Which always seem so daunting to me.)

BTW, one of my first posted analyses on the “Weekly Analysis Board” (which seems currently to be on sabbatical) was on HUBS which at the time mid-2015 I rated a (risky) 4 out of 5. (Did not invest, purpose of analyses on that board was not to find investments but simply to hone analysis skills.) But wouldn’t have been a bad thing had I, at that time, done so! (But of course, looking backwards in time, it’s always easy to make the right investment decisions.)
