Amazon’s entry into the AV market, Zoox, is now launching in San Francisco with free to the public rides in selected neighborhoods:

Zoox vehicles are completely driverless - the cars have no manual controls. The public launch was enabled by the approval of a special exemption from the FMVSS granted by the DOT earlier this year to Zoox as a low volume producer (<5K vehicles per year).
