Jamie Dimon said that, for the first time in his life, there’s “huge pressure” on the U.S. labor market.

“The price of labor’s going up, we’re going to have to deal with it,” the JPMorgan Chase & Co. chief executive officer said in an interview on Fox Business that aired Tuesday.

The US poverty wage labor model is coming to an end. People are no longer tolerating it.

That is funny. For several decades the only pay inflation was in his pay package. Surprised he is suddenly worried about other folks getting $15.

He does not the greater GDP growth will make JP Morgan a fortune. In other words his pay will go up again. Glad he is not worried about that.

The stress is a killer.

Wages went up substantially after the great plague of the fourteenth century. While COVID mortality rates don’t compare with plague mortality rates, the great exodus of an aging workforce is having a similar effect.
