Benchmarks of Performance-core only Bartlett Lake CPU emerge, 10-core offers

so between this and panther lake, it looks like Intel is really back in the game on CPUs, at least for mobile and desktop. And from what I read, they’re no longer relying on Taiwan semi for fabrication. I’m not sure whether gelsinger would have gotten them here as quickly, but I think they’re going to survive. I may have to finally buy a little Intel. I’ve never owned the stock, though my wife did as an employee. if they even become a strong number two foundry And their other designs start to pay off, they could get serious

I hope AMD can step it up. This better not end up being another “Core” moment, which spelled AMD’s decade long decline, before eventually recovering with Zen.

Bartlett lake is just an updated Intel_7 raptor lake, primarily for embedded. I don’t think it is that interesting. OTOH, panther lake looks pretty good and is receiving a great reception. Intel still relies on TSMC for the best volume shipping parts: arrow lake, and Lunar lake. Nova lake later this year brings intel back into competitive space with AMD for desktop gaming. It is still unknown if Nova lake is TSMC N2, or Intel_18A…
