For-profit Legacy Health is attempting to merge with the Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) health plan, creating the largest health care operator in Oregon. This will reduce competition and jack prices.
Patients and the nurses union are against it.
They’re running TV ads depicting animal abuse at OHSU’s monkey research facility with the tag line:
" If OHSU can’t care for a monkey, how can they care for you?"
