I donât know if this is a good way to grow Twitter.
Iâm all for giving benefit of the doubt. So if he had said that in hindsight he was horrified how it looked and came across. That was never his intention. And he absolutely condemns Nazzi-ism in all its forms and he is appalled that right-wing extremist groups have rallied behind this. Then I could buy it was inadvertent.
But he hasnât.
The .jpeg is supposed to be animated. The arm movements are identical.

I agree. And part of that âanalysisâ is the way someone salutes.
Simply extending your arm upward with palm out is not of itself a N*zi salute.

Cutting through the silly discussions of how someone salutes, the underlying question is whether or not Elon is a (crypto) N@zi. He certainly isnât a Jew hater and is a big supporter of Israel. He has visited Auschwitz with rabbis.
So then the question becomes is he simply a fascist? Well, I donât think so, but at least that is a (marginally) better discussion the how someone salutes.

Iâm sure it sounds silly to look at the act itself, but if you thump your chest and quickly make a salute as if you were in a Leni Riefenstahl film, you may expect some reactions that place you in that setting.

Of all the things for which I can be critical of Musk, his âunartfulâ body movements at events donât even make the list.
Those are probably the ONLY thing that I think he can realistically blame due to whatever spectrum he is on.
When he acts like a man-child on twitter, not so much.

You can see the videos of each of them. The screen shot captures a moment where their arm is raised, but none of them did what elon did. Which is pound his chest and extend his hand out in a hitler salute. Twice. In a row.
The questions really is not IF he did a hitler salute⊠but why. I dont think he is going after jews. But mobilizing white nationalist/nationalism and us verse they tralibalism perhaps. Again to what endâŠ

The salute is performed by extending the right arm from the shoulder into the air with a straightened hand.
Id encourage you to watch the video. And watch a video of a hitlers rallies. If you really think that its different I would encourage you to do the non hitler related gesture in public or your place of work to show everyone how ridiculous the commentary is.

Well that did not take long.
I dismissed the stupid hand gesture - basically giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Then, he goes on twitter and removes any doubt. What a juvenile.
