Boeings problem versus SpaceX

Both companies make very expensive products that are engineering miracles but cost too much in economic terms.

If Boeing goes into another line of business it is a loser.

SpaceX knows this as well. The thing that is making SpaceX money is Starlink. Can Boeing place their version of Starlink in orbit? Possibly but then neither will be all that profitable.

Space is not a profit center. The air is not a profit center. These are cost centers.

Communications is a profit center.
