ChatGPT Esq. .... now THERE'S an idea

But then, to misquote Mandy Rice-Davies (Profumo trial…early 1960s) I would say that wouldn’t I.

It’s just about a year since the family albatross’s use of generative AI to bamboozle the domestic violence evaluator in the hopes of affecting the upcoming divorce settlement. Learned a lot since then…..including misuse in the legal system. However, over the year since….and amid multiple challenges to that and motions filed along with pettyfogging drama from his legal team ……. we’ve discovered how to actually cut down on our expenses and time wasted for my daughter’s lawyer. Yes….ChatGPT.

Starting a few months ago, my daughter started running the ex’s various communications through the app….with wonderful results. From reducing her stress level when she read the analysis of his bombast and accusations to providing her with structured responses thatdisarmed and defused his rhetoric. Started to do the same with the nastygrams and accusatory cover letters from his money grabbing crew….and has gained the confidence to whittle down all the nonsense to a few actionable items that require a minimal response from her lawyer. Monthly invoices chopped in half….and then some.

Who knew?

Also, reading his usual drivel when he’s shooting from the hip (most frequent way he communicates), it’s painfully obvious that he’s not using any AI assistance in structuring what he writes. He writes like an ignoramus. Yet his carefully crafted questionnaire answers were like a Grand Opus worthy of an Oxford don….complete with the commas.

Which is enough to make someone with a suspicious mind wonder how come he thought of doing the GenAI thing back then but doesn’t use it now? Or rather…..who gave him the idea?

So, in my ongoing search for an explanation for how my daughter’s ex hit upon the idea of creating his incredibly compelling narrative of psychological and emotional abuse together with coercive control at the hands of my daughter, I stumbled across this YouTube vid. Still cannot find a plausible-sounding answer but stumbling upon multiple sites that make me wish I’d known all this a year or so ago.

The sentiments here do double duty for rational use of AI in the medical arena too, I fancy sort, here’s a useful listen (I think)…..but it’s not a field where I know enough to realise I might be wrong, so expertise based critiques are welcome.

As usual….and the same with medical usage …. I seriously hope insight gained will be purely theoretical and not a needed tool….

A very critical question. What are the crux moral and practical considerations when mixing artificial intelligence with affairs of the heart.

Hard question to answer even without “artificial” involved.

And of course, once someone like you ex SIL acts so horrifically even the heart cries out “Havoc! Let slip the savagest dogs of war….”

Depends on which culture you are in.
