CMBT Q2 2025 (Take 2)

CMBT did have a slide-deck to go with the results presentation. It did have some “extra” stuff, so probably worth a mention.

Slide 7 covers the growth of the fleet from current to Q4 2027

Slide 10 has some additional detail of contract backlog. Per vessel category, IMO, the impressive categories are container and chemical tankers. That said, those are long-term contracts spread 8 - 15 years.

While the presentation has frequent mention of decarbonization, there is almost zero discussion of the non-marine elements i.e. the Hydrogen and Ammonia infrastructure aspects. Where is CMBT’s roadmap for those two pieces? How much will those cost?

Curiosity got the better of me, so I went looking - “H2 Infra” is the name of the non-shipping entity. Website has some discussion of the segment

[Edit: At least from other online skimming, it seems there is some H2-as-fuel use by vehicles. My guess, likely some truck usage. But, I don’t know how broad the H2-infrastructure is established in Belgium and/or Europe.]
