Curated screens 2024-12-04

Here are the latest results and picks for our curated screens. I had to remove the Tech Growers screen because it uses industry codes that no longer work after SI Pro decided to change their data provider. As you can see from these results, its been a great year for investors.

How are these generated? I’m looking at lohill’s ranking on Shrewdom and the screens that are common to both have completely different picks. They’re a couple of days apart, so I’d expect some differences, but not completely different.

Thanks

These were generated using gtr1. Lohill generates them using SI Pro’s data. In October, SI Pro changed data providers. This impacted all screens that use industry codes. Lohill updated his screen rules to try to match the new industry codes (the trbc.s field) as best he could, and then applied them to SI Pro data to report his weekly picks. But Robbie did not make any changes to gtr1 until last weekend. That’s when it became apparent that gtr1’s picks were not as accurate as lohill’s picks. I suggest you use lohill’s picks rather than the ones at the top of this thread for this week. I’m not sure when/if Robbie intends to update gtr1 with the new industry codes. He said it’s a low priority for him. On my next update, I’ll switch to reporting the picks here the same way that lohill does, but then the backtest results won’t be accurate. I’ve been reporting gtr1’s picks to preserve the accuracy of the backtest results.

I did see the posts about SI Pro but didn’t make the connection, thanks for the explanation Ron.
