D+ and advertising

Makes sense, I suppose. After all, Disney has been in the advertising business for years. And it might help to grow D+.

This made me think of something: for the sports side, do subscribers see ads on ES+ or does that likewise have no ads?

One thing DIS may want to consider is to have the cheaper option get some content later, just to enhance the premium side’s perception…then again, that might argue for a three-tier strategy similar to Peacock…

Update: I believe the link at the time mentioned that this was reportedly a possible plan, but it has now become reality, as DIS has announced a new ad-supported tier.

Should be a stock catalyst, and definitely a D+ catalyst…

Ned, I think you’re right. Once you get on the ad version, you might think that it would be good to avoid commercials altogether.
