Thanks for sharing. I like to share sometimes too.

And today i read that Aunt Jamima Pancake Mix is coming back.

DEI and wokism seem to have peaked. Perhaps we can be a bit more tolerant in the future.

It still exists. Locking up brown folks for things whites are excused for is creating brown slaves in the US.

It must be nice to get over something you are not suffering. Odds are your son was not locked up on some minor charge to get him as slave labor.

I have said to you on many occasions that VZ does not apply to anything in the US. You were not getting the message. When you finally did it shocked you.

Well get over slavery or become a slave. That logic has just appear. The Jews were last slaves in Germany. Anti Semitism in the US is rising. A few more degrees to the right and we will be slaves again.

All those favors for Israel? No good deed goes unpunished.

Black lives matter is real. Some police forces use too much force and also target blacks. That should stop. We need equal treatment for everyone.

But its also true that the poor are more likely involved in crime. Resolving the wealth divide would help.

You might not have noticed that America has three or more parts, North, Central, and South plus the Caribbean Sea made up by over twenty independent countries. It’s just ONE country that keep scratching at the slavery scab. Get over it.

No Brazil is beginning to have a reckoning as well.

Just ignoring the problem and treating people as less than on an ongoing basis only suits you.

Whoopee. Pettifogging the issue. The captain is still correct.
Additional info conveniently left out. Brazil was the last country to follow the rest f Western Civ’s groundbreaking idea of ending slavery. So perhaps a lag effect would be not be surprising. However the the overwhelming trajectory has been… the getting past it regardless of any recent factionalizing trying to cause a “reckoning”.

Excellent!
My “vocabulary word of the day”!

That is a nonsense opinion. It is not a fact.

placing undue emphasis on petty details.

He did not use the word correctly.

You can consider it an opinion if you like. I based my conclusion on the facts presented but neither of us is omniscient. But, I did notice the gratuitous use of the adjective, and in this case another flag word, “nonsense.” I’ll consider that your opinion. And your modus operandi.

Very true, when I read nonsense I know it.

Remember the comment

“It’s a recession when your neighbor loses his job; it’s a depression when you lose yours.”

Brown people are put down in our society. If it was you, your point of view would be quite different.

You are dismissing an important point of view.

LOLOL. is that pettifoggery?

What a great word!.
It’s an example of Onomatopoeia:
Obscuring (fogging) an issue that is really of low (petty) priority.

One man’s pettifoggery is another man’s pertinent detail? LOLOL

The word only applies to itself. LOL

Seriously the topic has become bigotry does not have to matter to anyone if it is not against them.

Equity literally means equal outcomes. Every single, and I mean every single, DEI training session shows this in one of the first few slides to head off any discussion about “equal opportunity” (old style diversity) and to steer the discussion to “equal outcome” (new style diversity).

No, in fact it doesn’t. Equity means being FAIR - which is why giving minorities a fair shot at a job via an interview is OK but mandating a quota on hiring one is not.

You mean every sporting event needs to end in a tie? All baseball players have to have the same batting average? What a fun world!

Employers hire what they relate to in their own book whether it makes one iota of sense or not.

Federal contracts need to make sense of a huge deficit in minority and female hiring.

The percentage is not the percentage of the minority in the overall population. The percentage that AA required for federal contracts was the percentage of the minority that was educated to do the job. A much lower percentage most of the time. Even that standard is vehemently opposed.
