Yep! Out of the big 3, one has almost entirely disappeared (and the remainder isn’t US based anyway) and the remaining two don’t grow anymore. For example, Ford sold about 4 million cars a year in the 70s and still sells about 4 million cars a year. They did sell about 7 million a year in early 2000s. Similarly, GM sold over 8 million a year in the 70s and now sells about 6 million a year. (unaudited figures from an AI)
