Fewer Teens Want to Drive

It’s likely that the uberlyft cost would also be different in that scenario. If it costs $600 a month to park, you probably have to live further away. And the uberlyft will charge more, even for the same distance, but probably even more for the increased distance.

The only teens and twenty-somethings I know personally these days are my great nephews and nieces and grandchildren of a few of our lifelong friends. From that small sample of a dozen or so, I have noted that the more educated ones seem to view it as freedom from depending on a car rather than freedom to own a car. They have settled in places where they can use mass transit, bicycles, telecommuting, etc.

The ones in more rural areas still depend on cars. They don’t have as many telecommuting opportunities at work, and not enough money to live in places where they can live without a car.
