There’s a shocker at the end
In both Aug 2023 and Aug 2024, I made a trip that included a multi-day stop in Mesquite, NV. I typically stay at Virgin River Hotel, but prefer the gaming ambiance at a sister casino, CasaBlanca (a few miles away). The two entities are owned by an entity called Mesquite Gaming.
One gets a casino rewards card, and now the casino knows how to find you. They send card members promotional stuff for various events. I just received my entertainment package for Feb 2025 – it is a colored 16-page booklet that provides an update of events at the two casinos. Many/most casinos do promos … throughout the year. But, most casinos do not send members 16-page booklets. Or, more appropriately, HohumYNWA has not received too many casino promotional booklets.
What’s in the Mesquite Gaming booklet in Feb 2025?
- Promotion for Super Bowl related event - Watch Party with beer and cocktails specials. Specials for Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day.
- CasaBlanca’s premier restaurant, Katherine’s, has been renovated and other sections have also been upgraded.
- Virgin River Hotel’s Sportsbook area has been renovated.
- One page devoted to Mesquite Journey rewards - standard casino stuff on discounts at dining, hotel, spa. And golf, since CasaBlanca own, or are affiliated, with two Mesquite golf courses.
- Mentions a birthday gift. But, I suspect most casinos will offer the “birthday guy/gal” some type of benefit, if they show up at a casino on their respective birthday. However, “Adventures on Princess Cruises” seemed like an interesting teaser. Cruise discounts or something else?
- Next-to-last page has my offers. Food discounts, gaming comps and two free nights (Sun thru Thurs, subject to availability) entire month as the booking window. Room comps are probably quite common for high rollers. I don’t think of myself as a high roller.
Okay, here’s the shocker (at least to me). Guess who now owns Mesquite Gaming? (actually closing in on a year in March 2025)
