I thought everyone was entitled to a legal defense in America?

Not “terrorists”. I still had cable TV when the “underwear bomber” was bundled off a plane in Detroit. The howls on Fox Noise were “don’t let him get lawyered up!”
Of course the corporate interests will rally to defend their golfing buddies.

Luigi is from a very wealthy real estate family that literally owns several country clubs and golf resorts. He’s one of the “golfing buddies”.

The Sixth Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees the right to counsel for criminal defendants. This means that the state must provide an attorney to anyone who cannot afford to hire one.
I did not see anything in the Constitution about the guarantee to use GoFundMe.

In reading the comments on that Reddit thread, I see that there is an alternative site GiveSendGo that is hosting the Mangioni legal defense fund raiser.
If you can skim a few percent off a potentially large revenue stream, some patriotic capitalist will step forward to provide the service. {{ LOL }}
