I have been saying this for years. I want to hold my gold in my hot little hand. If it’s a number on a page there’s too much opportunity for fraud.
There’s also opportunity for fraud in gold items (e.g. coins, bars) since gold density is 19.30 g/cm3 but the density of inexpensive tungsten is 19.25. Because of this it’s important to buy from a reputable supplier.
