I have no idea where to post this, but it’s a neat story:
Margin of Safety published 1991, 5,000 copies. No other editions were ever printed. It was a dud. Later the author had great success as hedge fund manager, Baupost Group. So now the book is a collector’s item, worth 4 figures and if signed, worth $10,000+. And there are counterfeits being sold online. The whole story is in today’s WSJ (Tuesday, May 16th).
Hey Charlie, if you’re reading this. Ben Graham’s 1932 Security Analysis, with dust cover, is worth a small fortune.
