it gets better. we don’t actually need to sign any deals.

“Everyone says, ‘When, when, when are you going to sign deals?’” Trump grumbled during a White House meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

“We don’t have to sign deals, they have to sign deals with us. They want a piece of our market. We don’t want a piece of their market,” Trump said.

Did he actually say we don’t need to export anything to them???

Who knows what this guy is saying?

“They are going to pay for the privilege of being able to shop in the United States of America. Think of us as a super luxury store. A store that has the goods,” Trump said.

My

The UK, having learned nothing from NAFTA, duplicates the mechanism that will hollow out what is left of UK manufacturing.

Tata, which owns JLR, started building a plant in India to build Landies, rather than shipping them from the UK in CKD kits. I started doing the math. The Indian plant has the capacity to replace both UK plant’s production, for the world.

An Autocar India report earlier said Tata Motors will likely utilise 75% of the capacity for JLR models and export most of the output.

Contrary to that earlier article, they will not be making EVs in India.

Typical “JC” attitude: “I’m the center of the universe. People will feel themselves blessed to be granted my sufferance.” As the President of Radio Shack said, when challenged about RS’ high prices vs the competition “we do people a favor when we sell them our stuff”.
