Note the operative word is ‘give’. AOC wants something if the Dems give anything but does not expect to work with them.

More significant than the majority of them. She has integrity.
As you have heard, an honest person is far stronger than a dishonest person.
She also has the longest time ahead of her in Congress.
She funds others which makes them a block with her leadership.
Does not matter if every guy you know over 60 years of age asks the very question you did. Our generation supported Supply-Side economics which caused layoffs, cut pay, and cut benefits while slowing GDP growth. We did about everything we could to mess up our economy so that a few of us might get rich off the rest of us. We left very few of us with much significance.
Plenty of us boomers are sort of angry and have no one else to blame.
Nancy Pelosi tamed her and AOC is now a Corporate Democrat.

She has a bit more polish. She was always smart and is now getting even more effective.
The calculus that has changed since the start of the year, the candidate for POTUS who is leading the polls, by an increasing amount, and the need to sing the corporate song. Expediency may require embrace of certain thinking.

My prediction Biden will step aside early next year as a lame duck at that point having done everything he can. I think Newsom will run up the middle and win.

I agree that has a high liklihood, and it is a key reason I do not fret about Biden’s age and etc. Biden is a very smart experienced pol, and always knew that even a hint that that was his plan would have crippled his power by making him a premature lame duck. Newsom is by no means the only contender for jumping in fast, but I agree he holds the lead.

Newsom has an email list that is more extensive outside of just CA than any of the others. I am on the list. He is calling it a campaign but not a presidential campaign. He is set to hit the ground running.
His main discussion is CA’s gun laws and adding an amendment nationally. Among most voters this is a winning issue that sees a great deal of leadership out of him. I think CA has roughly 43% of the national level of gun deaths.

The public gets that by now.
The issue is how uplifting is a hate v hate vote? We won’t win that. Or it is far too high a risk.
BTW you are assuming the skeltons are so bad. That probably is not true by now.
