How are bank bailouts different from student debt cancellation?

I apologize if I misread your response; but you are still claiming that taxpayers will be charged the fees. That simply is not factual.

For one, if you use a credit union, you are not even a person that is covered by FDIC.

The link is from 2022, not 2020 and it illustrates that the FDIC insurance was already increased for this year by 2 basis points - but it did not even make the news so what expense customers paid, if any, was infinitesimal.

Ok talking about 2020 but from 2022. Thanks.

You don’t need to apologize Hawkins, you provide a valuable service to the boards. Now that is something I didn’t understand and I should have since I belong to a credit union and yes they do have their own insurance. That does blow up my thesis. Let me make it clear I do not really care about the Fee but I do care how all of this came about and to make clear how it all is being charged. Just for my own knowledge, not from any activist standpoint.
