Meanwhile Trump says this is the greatest economy the country has ever seen.
For Trump it probably is. I expect that since 1/20/25 he has increased his wealth more than during any other 8 month period. For the mega-millionaires and billionaires benefiting from all his edicts and the BBB, I expect that they see a golden economy too. For the workers struggling to buy health care, food, clothing, shelter, and transportation for themselves and their families, it is getting worse, but some of them still believe that money will eventually trickle down to them.
In one month since the Debt Ceiling, the debt has spiked by $780 billion
The bribe demands have escalated from the hundreds of Millions to a Billion.

Speaking of bribes
As a reply when I posted about that last night said, words to the effect that “cash overcomes national security concerns”.

A court just denied Trump the ability to make Government spending hidden private information.
It is an export tax, but maybe a corporate tax. Not really.
No, the U.S. Constitution prohibits Congress from laying taxes or duties on articles exported from any State. This is explicitly stated in Article I, Section 9, Clause 5: “No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.”
Important considerations
-
This prohibition applies specifically to taxes and duties levied directly on the articles themselves when they are in the process of being exported from the United States to a foreign country.
-
It does not prohibit all levies related to exports. For instance, user fees designed to compensate the government for specific services provided, facilities used, or benefits received may be permissible, as long as they don’t function as a general tax or duty on exports.
-
The prohibition generally does not extend to general taxes on property that happens to be intended for export, as long as the tax is not levied specifically because of the intended export, and the goods are not yet in the process of exportation.
-
Similarly, a tax on the income of a corporation derived from its export trade is generally not considered a tax on “articles exported” and is therefore permitted.
This market needs greater fools.
