Kevin, Please don’t quit! Your posts are extremely valuable to all of us! (People were only joking about going 100% into INFN).

Agree 100% with Saul, Kevin. Your posts are some of the best in Fooldom and provide invaluable insight into INFN. And sooner or later, if earnings and revenue keep going up, the P/E must catch up.

DT

Kevin, I very much appreciate your posts!

wait DT, are you joking about agreeing 100% with Saul!!?!??

Agreed, Kevin don’t quit!

No joke!

Nice balloons there doubting Thomas. Happy Foolaversary.

Brian,

Ha! I have to admit I never agree 100% with anyone - except in this one case:-) But I do enjoy the most excellent information and analysis that is freely available here on Saul’s board.

Flygal,

Thanks, for the best wishes! I can’'t believe it has been 19 years since I became a Fool. A lot has changed since then, and I’ve managed to survive two massive “corrections” with my portfolio above water.

Saul, and everyone, thank you for the kind words and support. I’m glad my posts on Infinera provide some value.

I do have one more write up to go on Metro. The write up will include some info on additional digging I did a few months ago. I had not brought that particular info forward to the board because I wasn’t sure if there was enough there connect the dots. I’ll share those findings in my the next post and leave it for everyone to decide.

After part 3 of my summary I will be taking a bit of a break from the boards. I’m not sure how much digging I’ll be doing going further, but after my next post I think it may be enough, for now, and I’ll leave it to the TMF team of posters to do the regular routine of quarterly writeups and assessments. They always do a real fine job.

I see a great future for Infinera and will still be fully invested - I just won’t be posting about that fact quite as much

Thanks everyone for reading!

Best,
–Kevin

Hi Kevin, I’m sure it’s been a huge strain to do all that research and feel responsible for it every day. Why not just stay on the board and post little posts from time to time on other stocks, or comments on other peoples posts about other stocks? It would really be a shame if you completely left the boards because you feel burnt out! We’d very much miss you.

Saul, it is almost like a second full time job! Which is why I need to back down from it and take a break.

That sounds reasonable. I think I’ll do that

Kevin,
I also truly appreciate all the research you have done for all of us!!
And I/we will all miss it, and be very sorry to see it go!

So, like Saul, I hope you will consider just “dialing it way back”, but still showing up with a few of your thoughts from time to time. Since you indicate you intend to stay invested and follow the company, we would all be very appreciative if you could just occasionally share your “mood”, without all the links and detail.

We value your thoughts!!

Thanks–Dudley (still very long INFN)

Kevin, I would very much like to echo Dudley, here. I don’t even always follow all the details of your posts, but I value your opinions as much as the detail. We all have to draw our own conclusions, but I know that you have your finger on the pulse of this company better than I do, so when you speak about the impact of news, or the likelihood of what will happen with sales in a certain segment, I listen.

Paul, Dudley,

It is actually rather hard to step away as I found myself reading the news from this morning  I promise I will add color commentary whenever news events like this happen.

I am extremely encouraged by this news by the way. It is an early indicator of how well the Transmode integration is working. We have an example of Infinera converting a large opportunity into real business, and this one is really, really big business.

Telia runs DTN-X in North America. They are going to be upgrading all of their metro areas here as well. Large-scale customers don’t sign RFPs just to do one metro area for the region - they sign a contract to do them all.

We don’t know yet if they’ll be using Infinera’s gear for their domestic locations (in Europe). They could still use Ciena’s or Nokia’s Metro products there. But, this is a huge deal for Infinera. It is one less region for the other big players. This is taking their market share!

I expect this news will be the focus of today’s call after earnings.

I promise I will add color commentary …

Thank you Kevin; many of us Fools just breathed a sigh of relief!

Looking forward to today’s call!

Dudley

As we see, INFN is green today  Here’s hoping it is a harbinger of good things coming after the close today, for us investors.

Frank

I can’t help but watch. It is very green. Nothing like an earnings release to pick up some additional attention.

On a non-fundamental note, the stock is breaking out and 1 penny away from a resistance level. That is going to draw attention from the technical folks.

Best,

It just broke through. Resistance level was 15.60.

Who wants popcorn?

Very Best,
–Kevin
