Volvo makes a big deal about installing “Bowers and Wilkins” stereos, having seemingly convinced people they are extra special.
Came across this bit tonight. Apparently, some Volvo buyers, are discovering they have fakes installed in their cars, with the name misspelled, with a double “v”, in place of a “w” in the name, just as my classmate’s watch was a fake, not a product of the well known “Hamilton” brand. Of course executives of Volvo’s parent company are shocked, SHOCKED, that this could happen, pointing their fingers at the dealers, and swearing that the fake stereos could not possibly have been installed in the factory.
…caution coarse language and gestures…
That classmate wore his “Harmilton” watch to class one day. hmmm… I listened to the Omega watch I had in those days, a soft, and rapid “ticktickticktick”. Then I listened to his “Harmilton”: clunk…clunk…clunk… I wonder how long that thing lasted?
