LOOM

Anyone know anything about Loom?

My wife who’s a public school teacher here in LA is online right now watching a tutorial on Loom which her school is going to be using to teach their kids online. So far form what’s she’s learning it seems to have a lot of options like being able to download videos to her students, you can edit, you can do voice only while showing a video presentation.

I looked at their website briefly, headquartered in SF, lots of big tech names on the board, private.

Just curious if this is a serious competitor to ZM.

I use it all the time. It’s only used for recording/screen sharing and has no video call capabilities. Compeltely different use case than Zoom.

Loom is for screencasting and one way communication. Zoom is online, live streaming.
