While it will, no doubt, be appealed, judge rules that firm and executives are guilty of decade long systemic fraud and trial will be held to establish how much of a $250 million civil suit is due.

Think of all the back taxes that will be due. Reminds me of a mobster who was imprisoned for that kind of behavior.
Note too that the $250M is a floor judgement. Could be much higher. And, as noted, sell a building and there is tax on the proceeds over purchase price. Plus paying back all the loans.
