Billionaire Michael Bloomberg, the owner of Bloomberg LP, is interested in acquiring either Wall Street Journal parent Dow Jones or the Washington Post, news website Axios has reported, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
Such a merger would create a financial data and news giant, further firming up the world’s 12th-richest man’s powerful hold on the business and likely allowing his company to sell more Bloomberg Terminals – the main source of its revenue.

I suppose everything is for sale at the right price. I don’t see Jeff Besos selling the Washington Post. I doubt its a money maker. He probably sees it as a public service. And a possible opportunity to express his views if he wishes.
Didn’t Dow Jones go to Murdock? Its probably a financial investment for them. Might be for sale.
Musk buys Twitter. Newspapers are hurting. Deep pockets investors should be welcome.
What are the great newspapers? Chicago Tribune, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Baltimore Sun. There must be many who would welcome new investment.
St Louis Post-Dispatch is owned by Lee Enterprises. Many think a new owner could do better.
