By definition, the care referenced in the article is short-term (and generally limited to 90 days), not long term.
Just like there is a difference between short term and long term disability.
But, don’t take my word for it:

- For a limited time (on a short-term basis)

The marketing is that 70% of seniors end up in a nursing home or require at-home care. That’s true, but Medicare pays for a lot of it.

Sooo, you are tossing out a Red Herring. You are no longer willing to support or defend your argument about that Medicare covers LTC and so you are now making a new unrelated point. Got it.

Not at all. There is a lot of disinformation and fear around LTC. Most people aren’t informed enough to understand the difference between the first 90 days that can be covered by Medicare, and longer than 90 day stays that are not.
As the chart in the article explains, only about 4% of seniors are spending over $200,000 during their lifetime on total LTC costs.
