metal cc might give you problems

American Express announced they are offerring their Delta Airlines card in metal.

Chase gave me a Marriott card some years ago, made out of metal. The first time I used it was in a card reader at Walmart. It broke the card reader. I ended up having other problems with the card at other machines.

When the card expired, I couldn’t cut it up without a hack saw, so I just burned it.

This was before you could just tap the screen with your card…but personally, I would not recommend getting a metal card.

Can you even get a credit card made out of airplane metal through the metal detector at he airport?

Who expects the amount of metal in the card is so small as to make for a great marketing campaign and justification for a super expensive annual fee without actually being significantly different from other credit cards…

Another just because it possible doesn’t mean it should be done.

Chase has been doing this for years. The Chase Sapphire Reserve is metal. They send a postage paid envelope with a new card to mail the old one for destruction.

No, there is no problem at airports. They go through the scanner with personal items.

The 747 card is nothing new.

Metal CC causes NO problems.

Nothing here is true…

I remember when most credit cards were metal (early 60s) - and they were called “charge plates”.
