Money for nothing, want fries with that?

Corporate business models lately evoke memories of the 80s. with the “JCs” constantly thinking up new ways to take money from their customers. One strategy that has received a lot of attention lately is trying to charge car buyers “subscription fees” to use the features in the car that they already paid for.

Seems Wendy’s is eager to jump on that moneywagon, by introducing digital menu boards, to enable “surge pricing”, by being able to change the prices in the blink of an eye. I had lunch at Wendy’s today, after voting. Talked with the manager about the report I saw on the noon local news. He said it is only for delivery orders, but, if that was the case, there would be no need for the digital menu boards in the stores.
