Moore's Law backwards

…is very interesting.

Biannual halving of the area needed per bit of memory and (less predictably but similar) per “unit power” (FLOPS etc) of computation, has an extremely interesting but less readily quantifiable analog predecessor: the steady increase of accuracy and reliability combined with shrinkage of mass of time keeping devices.
