I’m not sure which company is better at committing “waste, fraud, and abuse”, Lockheed or Boeing?
Steve
Huh, F-47? I wonder what the F stands for.
“F” is normal USAF nomenclature for “fighter”. The “47” is the question mark. That is quite a jump from 35. It is certainly possible there have been enough proposals, since the contract for the 35 was let, nearly 30 years ago, that 47 would be the next number. Or is the designation of “47” schmoozing the POTUS?
Well. I’m 71. I plan on making it to 100. Given the amount of time defense contractors milk contracts, the 47 might make it into service before I go toes up.
Steve
I am looking at 94 to 98 but I am only 61 turning 62.
F is right.
My aunt passed last month, at 95. Her father made it to 96. With the buildup of preservatives from living on frozen dinners since I was 8 or 10, I figure 100 is a cinch.

One of us will be wheeling out the other.
Kids at our feet saying, “Tell us about what the Fool stood for back then”?
Thanks for the info, but I’m gonna use F-47 from now on to refer to TFG. My F rhymes with clucker…
Nickname is the “Bone Spur”
Use “Mushroom”–because he eats **** and keeps everything in the dark.
A separate effort to award a contract for the NGAD’s engine, called the Next Generation Adaptive Propulsion, is underway between Pratt & Whitney and GE Aerospace, with an additional program aiming to develop “drone wingmen” also in the works between General Atomics and Anduril.

Because Boeing has done such a bang up job with the new Air Force 1? It’s entry into rockets? The 737 Max? What?
That’s why Boeing moved it’s HQ to DC, and doesn’t care about losing commercial market share. DoD will put up with incompetence and corruption, that commercial airlines will not tolerate.
Steve
Meanwhile, Boeing has another ask for the administration.
Seems that, last year, Boeing pled guilty to defrauding the FAA. The guilty plea was to avoid a criminal trial that might expose how scummy Boeing has become, and a criminal conviction might impede Boeing’s ambitions to defraud the government some more.
Steve
If the J6 crowd can be pardoned en masse, how difficult would it be to pardon Boeing?
Pete
FREE AIRPLANES !!! plus 20 char to (what?)…
They are talking about compensation for the JC’ers. Maybe Boeing could get a little sweetener too?
Then everyone else in the US would be owed trillions in compensation. No cap on federal debt = a US $ with value less than a Zimbabwean dollar. Eggs? ROFLMAO !! You can’t afford them. And remember: Social Security payments are indexed to COLA. But not the pay of the politicians and their appointees !!! They will learn real fast what stagflation REALLY is.
