I have a 2019 RAV4 hybrid.
For the last 4 months or so, when I start the car, I don’t know what the AC will be set on: AC on? Fan on? Automatic? Temperature?
Today, the display behind the steering wheel is showing the Lane Assist indicator in the center of the little screen. I keep it on “mph”. Unexpected changes in this display have happened a few times over the 2 years I’ve owned the car.
The “easy” answer is, of course, that I inadvertently bumped some control button, which changed the setting without me being aware. Still…
The car seems to RANDOMLY change settings.
From an operational standpoint, it’s not a big deal. Resetting the AC to what I want, or getting the display to show mph is easy enough.
But, it does make me question the status of the electronics.

Might check with Toy and see if there are any “firmware” updates for your car. Also, see if there are any “notices”, or whatever Toy calls them, that tell of issues with your RAV4.

I agree with PoodleLover that you should check on a firmware update. I think it is also a good idea to get the dealer to log that a problem may exist now while your vehicle is still under warranty. That way if the computer fails at some later time you have a record showing the problem started while still in the warranty period. It could save you a lot of money in the future.

I’ve got a maintenance coming up (40K miles), and will ask about firmware updates.
Being that this is intermittent, I suspect that there will be no resolution.
