** Mike Johnson and House Republicans on Wednesday released their budget plan, which would raise the debt ceiling by $4 trillion in order to dole out $4.5 trillion in tax cuts to the wealthy. They also threw in $2 trillion of compulsory cuts to Medicaid, which could make health care even more expensive and inaccessible for large swathes of America.**
It actually is good. Good and hard.
“The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.”
P. J. O’Rourke
Yep Medicaid runs all the rural hospitals. Just wait and see the crying going on when all the hospitals shut down.
A lot of voters are going to personally learn the meaning of Fool Around and Find Out, but there are many that are incapable of learning and will just look for the next scapegoat.
Just as Marxist Communism is powerfully nuttily markedly quasi-religious, excusing all contrary evidence, making faithful belief in bizarre theory over facts (hey, dialectics!) crucial to “salvation”, so for the Trumpist core. Trump was sent by God to redeem us!
" Mike Johnson and House Republicans on Wednesday released their budget plan, which would raise the debt ceiling by $4 trillion"
Odd, I thought tax cuts paid for themselves. Why would Trump need to Raise the debt ceiling if the tax cuts and tariffs are going to increase revenue to the Government by fantabulous amounts ???
Really strange. But that’s ok, we all should just trust in Trump. It’s not like he has a record of bankrupting companies. And he for sure hasn’t BK’d a Country before.
Nothing to worry about here.
They said they are not going to raise the debt ceiling. Oh no they have that solved too. They are just going to do away with the debt ceiling. At least there won’t be anymore fights over it.
Precisely the way cargo cultists blame others for their own incompetence and failures.
Who would think that we would find ourselves thankful for the Freedom Caucus.
Elimination of the Debt Ceiling is DOA with their members.
…whenever Dems have the White House or Congress. Now that GOP has it all I expect many of them will likely change their tunes.
Balanced Budget Amendment (anyone? LOL !!!).
