New Flex LNG charter

Flex LNG (FLNG) provide a nice post-Thanksgiving development.
A vessel that comes available in early 2025 has secured a 15-year charter with a possible extension.

Flex LNG – Announces 15-year Time Charter for Flex Constellation – FLEX LNG

No indication on the charter rate for Flex Constellation. However, mid-2025 one should be able to make a reasonable guess based on the data FLNG provide for Q2 2025. A 15-year charter bumps up their fleet-wide coverage by > 1 year – not shabby at all.

Oh wait! … the new charter does not start until 2026. So Flex LNG does have a short term problem with Flex Constellation. Filling in the one year charter gap between 2025 and 2026. It is a fuel efficient vessel, so it might get some advantage on select charters. But, not all the time.
