Nissan gets religion

The major Japanese brands, Nissan, Toyota, and Honda, took the hint and started building out their production footprint in the US in the 80s. Nissan has three big assembly plants in the US, as well as an engine plant in the US, and a transmission plant in Mexico.

Nissan is now considering adding a model currently imported from Japan, to it’s US plant production slate.
