Since TMF has closed many non-financial boards, some new members may gravitate to METAR.
METAR is a politics-free board. No partisan politics is allowed on METAR. Any mention of politicians, philosophies, political struggles over not-yet-passed legislation or political parties will cause the post to be FA’d (removed).
Occasionally, mention of such is inherent to a Macroeconomic story. Occasionally! But not usually.
Long-time METARs sometimes forget the no-politics rule and get pulled. Newbies who are accustomed to politicizing everything may be startled at how quickly their posts will vanish if they mention politics.
