Good summary. I do not understand why people claim the nuclear power is so successful in France. The are losing money, their reactors are old, and they have accumulated debts of over 60 billion euros.

Nuclear served France very well for many years. But now it seems maintenance was inadequate. Was it merely deferred too long? Under funded? Political?
