Huang’s keynote at Gamescom 2018 will be starting in two hours. I will be broadcast on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/nvidia

I went to the site and there are already 18,000 viewers (just watching the clock count down). Maybe this means that the gamers are excited for a new GPU announcement.

Now there are 130,000 viewers. That’s more than any live sporting event. This is for a keynote address. What a bang for your buck on advertising dollars!

To be fair, Apple’s keynote event live streams are probably an order of magnitude higher, and the World Cup final was higher as well.
