Nvidia RTX Driver Update

Today, Nvidia released the first full drivers for the RTX including ray Tracing and DLSS.

I opened up my computer and that was in the “what’s new” in the GeForce Experience update.

So soon the masses will start to see the “real” performance of the cards. I predict there will be a different tune the next few weeks.

Perhaps this is what is driving the bounce today and not so much the obscure price target raise?

The price target raise from $300 to $400 was discussed on CNBC today during the Halftime show. The analyst who raised today did so after full access and extensive meetings with NVDA’s CEO and CFO. Those discussions convinced him to raise the PT.

Haven’t read this NVDA article yet, but from Mark Hibben’s prior track record, I imagine it will be spot on.

I did note a main bullet saying that Morgan Stanley was “wrong, wrong, wrong”, which relates to the topic of this thread I had started over on the NPI board and reply here on Saul’s board.

long NVDA and quite happy with today’s price action after the PT upgrade.

I reread through the release highlights. The drivers were for a few specific games, and had support for RTX cards. So not really too sure what all that means, but “full” driver support is not correct based off reading further. My bad.

There will come a day when all the drivers for full support of all the games and technology, but it is not this day.
