OK, take two trees and call me in the morning

An experiment in Louisville seeks to find out if trees can help with a variety of urban issues, from noise mitigation to pollution. To this point the studies have tried to correlate density with effect, but there are so many other variables in the mix (socioeconomic, race, age, history, etc.) that it’s difficult, perhaps impossible to suss out what causes what.

This time they’re planting thousands of mature trees and following 500 residents in a deep dive of health tests across years - from before to after - thus controlling the other variables to a far greater degree.
