No, I’ve known about the paid services ever since I joined TMF a long time ago, just didn’t see the value of it since I had done very well using my reading skills and other investment publications for many decades before getting here and I have continued with that.
Saul has enlarged my view on a variety of different stocks and I value his wisdom, expertise, his calm temperament and careful study of the individual stocks.
So, hearing that he gathers knowledge from a MF service, piques my interest in them.
For those of you that require hard evidence of the Fool’s Advisory value in addition to the above
testimonials rearyiii using data from marco has created a backtest of David’s and Tom’s Fool picks
on the mechanical investors board. Buying and holding all the picks from 3/11/2002 till 1/11/2019
would have resulted in a 11.92 compound annual return compared to the S&P500 of 5.98%. http://gtr1.net/2013/?s20020311::max%28david.f,tom.f%29et1

Note: Robbie shows a 19.6 CAGR by adding additional post discovery momentum criteria to the
Gardner brothers picks, the 11.9% results are without any other selection criteria. In Robbie’s
terminology the Gardner brothers have not been torpedoed.
I admit that I started this thread, but I think that 23 posts on it is ridiculous. Let’s cut it off, and get back to discussing our stocks. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi Saul…
I have noticed that Tom and you have some of the same stock picks…made me wonder if he comes here! Have met the brothers and been following THE MOTLEY FOOL almost from its beginning. The early days were wonderful…chat rooms for specific industries, etc.
Am a Stock Advisor subscriber, too, for several years. STJ
