Seems like many people assume they will be able to charge while the vehicle is moving, using some of long strip of roadway that constantly emits a magnetic field (or emits as the car passes) to be used by the car to charge itself. This seems very impractical to me due to the distance from the car to the ground.

Well, we discuss this about once a year.
