OT: Believe all women? Well, no

Mangum made her confession in an interview published Wednesday on “Let’s Talk with Kat,” hosted by Katerena DePasquale, at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women. Unrelated to the lacrosse case, Mangum is currently in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder of her then-boyfriend in 2013.

On a side note, if "anyone who commits murder is mentally il"l then that make Ms. Mangum a sick puppy.

Nothing new under the sun department. Recall the actor who claimed he was the target of a homophobic attack? Fabricated.

When it comes to charges of sexual harassment, the slogan is “Believe Women”, not “Believe All Women.” That’s an important distinction.

Charges of sexual harassment should be taken very seriously and always investigated.

Stories like the one you posted are rare because the vast majority of the time, women are telling the truth about sexual harassment.

Believe women.

A fair comparison would be “How many women lied about an attack”, and then contrast that with “How many men, after being confronted, say ‘I didn’t do it.’”

I suspect the first question would be answered in the single digits, and the second with over 90%.

I have to agree with Bob. It needs to be investigated.

Key question is are there witnesses. Too often its a personal situation with no witnesses. Then its he said, she said. How do you decide? Maybe if there are additional accusers.

Meanwhile it becomes a news item and reputations and sometimes careers are damaged. And can be used to demand a payoff.

People misbehave on both sides.
