For those who celebrate.
It has been so dry around us that many trees started changing a couple of weeks ago.
What a great voice! Mellifluous to nth degree. Cat Ballou also comes to mind!

What a gorgeous thread.
Where I live in the highlands of central Mexico, we are at the biggest flower season of the year as the monsoon rains, lessening but still falling, have been unusually geneous this summer, and we have a huge variety and abundance of glorious flowers.
Enjoy life. The Winter Solstice is next.

So now you are 72 years old!
And so if you complete your 1st orbit of the sun you are 2 years old? Interesting…

Only in the eyes of the IRS. If you are squirted out on the last day of the year, your parents can take all the tax deductions and credits as if you had been around all year.

getting some color in northern Michigan, been a mostly dry but very warm September. Been staining my deck, good weather for that.
Hoping the upcoming winter is actually a normal winter. Area used to be considered part of 1 of the main snowbelts in the State, having doubts after the last couple of winters. Only takes a couple of degrees of warmer temps for potential snow to fall as rain instead. And cold 33 degree rainy days are depressing, lol.
5,000 IU of Vitamin D daily for us northerners…cured my Seasonal Affective Disorder.

In Missouri I am seeing some leaves down probably due to drought. And a few orange leaves on some trees. First sign of color. Peak maybe a month away.
I started seeing “color” in August. I wade through quite a few dead leaves on my daily walks now.
