The video is about providing throwable bricks (!) to raise awareness and change the balance of power between pedestrians and motor vehicles at a crossing. This video has some richer explanation:
I rode by bike to public High School in the late 60’s when that was becoming rare in most westside Los Angeles neighborhoods. A few rich hoodlum idiots with their own automobiles at my school dangerously harrassed me and my small group of bikies during our commute to and from school. I put a bag of throwable rocks in the water bottle support of my bike, and would toss a rock in my hand when the idiots showed up. Worked like a charm, but I was known to be crazy and I was lucky… My sister actually broke a car rear window the year after I graduated. Big kurfuffle. She won.
