An interesting random (not so random?) page on my FB feed this morning addressed the timescale of the early departure from healthy metabolic homeostasis with insulin resistance being the canary in the coal mine. The article included one study with a neat graph showing this trajectory from normal fasting glucose, through to undeniable full blown disease. Tracked down the study…

Interesting to note the date of publication. I couldn’t find the thread on reclassification of the distinction between prediabetes and full blown T2D so a new thread it is.
