The collapse of professional standards and levels of skills in news and deeper story reporting is an unexpected side effect of the ongoing digital revolution. For me, finding a reporter who actually comprehensively understands something complicated and then writes/talks about it is like freshet spring to a cowboy dying of thirst — survival transforming into ecstatic joy. This interview does that for me.

I listened to that episode last night, during my drive home.
I like The Bulwark too, maybe not to the estatic joy level…but it’s very good.

The Bulwark as a whole is worth checking in on, does too much talky talk aiming to please and entertain its audience for my taste, but has enough pearls scattered throughyout that I glance at it all, piggy that I am.
