Re: Insanity . . .
Attacks on Russian oil seem to be working. How is that insanity?
Longer range adds potential for greater destruction. Makes sense to me. Keeps the pressure on Russia.
Will Russia spend more on air defenses for its oil and energy centers? Or will more resources go to offensive resources like drones?

It is coming at the cost of the lost of its electric generating power infrastructure. Right before winter.
This doesn’t make sense. Are you arguing that the Ukrainians are missing the Russian targets and hitting their own networks? Or that Ukrainians were importing Russian fossil fuels and now they can’t because the Russian refineries are being hit? Or perhaps even less likely- that the Russians are only striking Ukrainian infrastructure because the Ukrainians are finally hitting Russian refineries? Because the Russians are nice guys and are only doing this because they are being provoked? Please.
The Russians have been striking Ukrainian infrastructure since their invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Russia has been hitting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since day one believing their own, far from Ukraine, was safe. Ukraine’s shift from defense to offense has been admirable.
