Work is under way to make all men in Poland undergo military training, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
Efforts are being made to “prepare large-scale military training for every adult male in Poland,” he told the Sejm.
“We will try to have a model ready by the end of this year so that every adult male in Poland is trained in the event of war, so that this reserve is comparable and adequate to the potential threats.”
It is interesting that, with the exception of Hungary, it is the former Warsaw Pact members, the ones with a living memory of life controlled by Russia, that are the most motivated to resist.

It should not be understood first of all as an impingement on the fundamental rights of a citizen, but rather as the civic duty to act on behalf of peace and security, and to guarantee the existence of our country and its stable democracy. The national army should be anchored in society, and the elimination of conscription has done significant damage…”
At the AfD’s party convention January 12 in the town of Riesa in the state of Saxony, its co-chair Tino Chrupalla proposed to remove conscription from the party’s electoral campaign program. More than 70% of the 600 delegates voted to keep conscription at the forefront of the campaign…
